The new Criminal Code and the new Criminal Procedure Code, both entered into force on February 1, 2014, bring important changes in criminal legislation and criminal procedure regarding a series of institutions, such as the institution of the preliminary chamber judge. This institution is analyzed by Denisa Barbu and Niculae Georgiana Marina in the book “The Competence of the Preliminary Chamber Judge”.
